Pakistan, we love you

No, I am not drunk, no alcohol, I condemn terrorism and I still fuss over eating green vegetables. Imagine, Imagine and just Imagine that one day everybody from India, i.e. me, u and v go to the border. There is a long-long, O yeah a very long line the other side too. Just hug one person and say, "Pakistan, we love you". Lung cancer, AIDS, Global Warming, accidents have taken many of our and your souls away. Let us just live in peace and give a ,. | .. to war mongers. Am I asking too much ? Am I dreaming too high ? Sorry, I woke up a bit late, But I partied late, yesterday, Today I feel a bit great, And I want to extend a hand for my own sake. No more, No less, Something I must confess, I missed your support, I missed my brother, When a couple of dreams here were blown away, By a few stray bombs here and there, But I still stand here with the same warmth, the same cold, As I stood decades before. I know my men, my ego and yours too, But still I stand and say today, Pa...

Srilankan team attacked in Pakistan

It couldn't get much worse and much more foolish than this. 5 players of Srilankan team were injured when militants opened fire at their team bus. All five had a narrow escape and Tilan Samaraweera was the only one to suffer bullet injuries and rest suffered from shrapnel wounds. This is country, which says that 26/11 terror attacks did not take place on its own soil and has a rather casual navy chief who does not even know the implications of his own words. Much has been talked about the heinous crimes being committed under the masquerade of Islam by Pakistan's own child - Taliban. So what is the solution ? The current verbal exchange between India and Pakistan undoubtedly makes Pakistan believe that we are soft on terror. But intimidating with the army on border is not a solution. The stand-off after the parliament attacks is an indicator of that. It yielded nothing. Talks of surgical strikes by Indian air force were rife after the Mumbai terror attacks, but it did not materi...

Kasav and Jadoo

Another flip - this comes from the chief of Pakistan's navy Noman Bashir. Is Kasav human or not ? That could probably be another question the Pakistani establishment can ask to delay or ... Maybe all the reports, pictures and videos have been photoshopped and edited so that we have a reason to pressurize Pakistan. This could well be the plot of thrilling novel selling on the railway platform of old Delhi. or... Maybe Kasav just came out from the Rakesh Roshan's Koi Mil Gaya. This could definately be true. I'll certainly get a job in a masala journal. Mr Bashir said that although there is no definitive proof that sea route was used, but even if they indeed came by sea to Mumbai then it is nothing but a failure of the Indian Navy and the Coast Guard. Almost three months have passed and we've reached no where. Is this diplomatic pressure or just a staged drama ? Maybe we need some jadoo intervention.

Gilani criticizes Indian intel

Cacophony of a failed state ! Pakistan's PM Yousuf Raza Gilani now comes with another statement blaming the Indian intelligence for Mumbai terror. IBN live reports Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said 26/11 was India's intelligence failure and blames the international community of playing favourites. I wonder what the leader wants to suggest. Maybe he is making such statements to strengthen his foothold in the party.

India Pakistan friendship

Is India-Pakistan friendship possible ? Or is that we've proven out to be a much smarter race to mingle or reconcile with those who left us 61 years back. Maybe this picture explains our eerie reaction reaction to such a friendship. The difference is that the innocent boy is not being repulsive to the truth of a dirty pig. This is one instance where intelligence builds barriers than breaking them, where it changes perceptions than blurring them. I apologize for putting the picture below, but let me make my thoughts clearer. The boy in this picture is Pakistan and the pig is terrorism.

Last warning !!!

When this billboard (or similar) gets put up in your city(I hope not), it is time you collect your cash, sell your property and run away as fast as possible. Unfortunately this has been the story for many cities countries like Iraq, Afghanistan and now Gaza. Recently Israel has been attacking the Gaza strip killing scores of people, taking revenge for the bloodshed caused by Hamas in Israel as a result of prolonged terror attacks. I've been a strong proponent of these attacks but now I feel I am mistaken. India's situation is somewhat similar, the only difference is that our reaction is an indicator of the noises created by empty vessels. But I care a damn of who makes the right noises and who speaks the better English or Urdu. I want to live peacefully. I want Pakistanis to live and live happily in their own country and let me live in mine. If another Israel-Gaza happens between India and Pakistan ( the nuclear touch ), nobody will ever live in peace. So friends, lets have f...

Nuclear solution ?

Is this a solution to the current terror crisis ? At the end of it, a US report says there could be a nuclear war between India and Pakistan. But do we want it ? My answer no. And nobody wants it. At the times of Chernobyl tragedy the radiation levels were high in Europe. It is sheer foolish destruction of humanity.

Indo-Pak nuclear war: How it could begin

The US intelligence agency had predicted way back in 1998 of a nuclear war that could take place between India and Pakistan, because of Pak army supported insurgency in Kashmir. At that time conditions were different. Today the conditions are more-less same as what the US think tank had suggested as a possible outcome in a report published by DNA . Pakistan is still defiant on handing over the terrorists. The reasons being their power galore in Pakistan. It is known(in Pakistan) that the dreaded terrorist Maulana Masood Azhar is behind Benazir Bhutto's assassination. But despite all this knowledge there is little control of Pak president Asif Ali Zardari on Pakistan and hence he has to abet terror else risk his and his son's life.At the same time there is a pressure mound building up over the UPA government and Lok Sabha elections of 2009 are nearing. A possible consequence: UPA government orders deployment of special small forces on border. Pakistani insurgents attack Indian ...

Israel and India on terror

Israel bombed the Gaza strip for the fourth day today killing over 300 people in Gaza. Hamas had ended the cease-fire with Israel after they fired rockets over Israel. Israel’s general has indicated that they are going for an all out attack to capture the Gaza strip. Hamas (terror threat), the largest party now faces oblivion at the hands of Israel. India faces an Israel like situation today. If Hamas dictates terms LeT and JuD and its leaders do the same in Pakistan. Pakistan indirectly has kept attacking India, but our reaction has been soft after a certain point. I have no reason to believe that government of Pakistan is actually interested in uprooting terrorism. Their only motive as of now is to gain political advantage. This was very evident from Imran Khan’s reaction on India needing to give substantial proof on Ajmal Kasav. I am not in favour of war, but the way this war hysteria has been created by Pakistan without any provocation (when our defense minister said against it) ; ...

Nokia Maps, Kashmir and Pakistan

Nokia Maps, a feature of the Nokia GPS phones (Also known as Navigators), have made a blunder by showing Kashmir a part of Pakistan. Nokia is one of the most trusted mobile phone brands of India and has risen in popularity because of its easy interface. I too use a Nokia Navigator phone and it has been essential in navigating me to unknown places in Delhi and Mumbai. Nokia Maps is a software that uses the GPS receiver of your GPS enabled phone and helps you show directions, and virtually guides you through every lane. The designers of Nokia have done a fabulous job as far as the technology is concerned but they have gone wrong with the facts of Kashmir. The reactions to this mistake have also been over the top. BJP protesters raided a NOKIA store in jabalpur and set it on fire. I am pro-BJP person, but I think such violent reactions are just not needed. We live in a civilized society and we should behave accordingly and not like hooligans on the street. Destroying hoardings and burni...

A prank call,a foolish guy

It's rather strange that a country's top minister was made to look like a fool, act like a joker in the international arena. He let down a billion people(of Pakistan), who “elected” him, to head a democracy by the so called “people's” party. A prank caller called him and said, “I’m Pranab, you better act fast, else we’ll attack you”. It took this much for Pakistan to start their act consisting of an elected army of jokers, like a cracker that bursts as it is lighted. Now consider the competence and the intelligence of the person who is known for his playboy reputation and his ability to handle a crisis that has developed with (or without) his involvement. I feel sorry for him and his country of tatterdemalions with their fanatic and irresponsible behavior. They just seem to have gone too far, after they crossed the threshold in 1965. As for poor Pranab, and the other congressmen, they just prayed to their gods, before the media put their guns (their microphone and cameras)...

Masquerading silence

Hidden behind those fenced cages, lies a dragon of truth, That weeps fire for me to drown, Lay those in its belly that fed the behemoth, When the men in green, hung on to the bells of a forgotten temple. With a piece of metal, used by a butcher, I knew behind the lighted screen, was a dragon, Far ferocious than the dwarfed horror shown in my room, The world sat, and watched in a truth that was doomed. Like the pin drop, it blew again, in those agonizing hours, To say, I was lost, I would not lie, to say, I was afraid, I would not lie, Righteous were those men hanging on in green, As were those behind the scene. Like the allies of 1939, like the Jew in a Nazi camp, Came back the time, when I wanted them to be stamped, With the blood of those, who had nothing to do, With the bodies of those, that lay silent... With the tears of those whom the dragon had gulped, The blood and tears would still be a less to heal, Of what I have lost, in the mangled steel, But I know, your god and my god. B...

Attack on Pakistan on the cards

It may not be long before the notorious MIGs may take off from bases in North India and bomb Lashkar hideouts and camps in Pakistan as the international squeeze on Pakistan is getting tighter, tight enough to suffocate the terrorist camps. What makes this evident are the international reactions more so from the United States nad Israel. I'd like to quote a few lines from the Times of India. ‘‘Rather than simply begging the Indians to show restraint, a better option could be to internationalize the response. Have the international community declare that parts of Pakistan have become ungovernable and a menace to international security,’’ Robert Kagan, an influential analyst with the Carnegie Endowment, said. ‘‘Would such an action (strikes) violate Pakistan’s sovereignty?’’ Kagan asked in an op-ed, and answered, “Yes, but nations should not be able to claim sovereign rights when they cannot control territory from which terrorist attacks are launched.’’ US sets stage for strikes on c...

All India Peoples Movement

Today, more than 1 lakh people gathered near the Gateway of India in Mumbai and organized a rally, a sign of protest against all those responsible for the terror attacks, not only in Mumbai, but all over India. Such rallies, on smaller scales could be seen all over India (more in metros) and the images were being telecast on almost all news channels. As I watched these images, at around 8:15 PM, I felt the need to join the protest in Delhi, but sadly couldn't find one. In the end at 11 pm, after contacting, Hindustan Times, India today and TV today, I, with my supportive friend Deepak, were standing outside the central park in CP. We decided to light the candles near a tree and with the help of a local guard, managed to light few candles and offer our homage to the people who lost their lives and their families. In the end, it gave me and friend huge satisfaction and finally we decided to leave a note, and with nothing more than the envelope of an invitation to the annual function ...

Manmohan calls ISI chief to India

Manmohan Singh has called the ISI chief to India to show him the evidence that proves the involvement of Pakistan nationals in the terror attack. What sort of a puppy behaviour is this. We will welcome our enemy with garlands, pay for his damn visit and give him food to eat,all with the tax payers money. And do we need to show him the proof ? We need to take stricter steps ? What sort of soft prime minister we have who does not have the guts to go ahead with a stricter milllitary policy. What use is he when he can't come with the leader of opposition, L K Advani (and the vice-versa) to atleast show India is united. These petty politicians suck to the core. He has to show this country what strong measures are being taken. It was the responsibility of the ruling party, the UPA to call an all party meeting, which BJP did at the time of IC814 highjacking. And even is the ISI chief is shown the proof, what good will he do. He will only say, "we too are the victims". These Paki...

ISI and Indian Mujahideen

This was an article written in the Times of Ideas column of the Times of India on 3rd Oct 2008 by K.P.S Gill, the former DGP, Punjab. Here are some excerpts from the article. An incoherence of ideas continues to advance a false construct of 'Islamic' or 'Islamist' terrorism, while the reality is that, in both Afghanistan and India, what we are experiencing is, quite simply, ISI terrorism. This reality is, in no way, diluted by the fact that some of the perpetrators of terrorism are Indian citizens, with affiliation to extremist organisations created on Indian soil. The core question, then, is, how does India tackle the ISI and the enduring Pakistani intention of harnessing terrorism to secure its own strategic goals? It is necessary to understand the precise contours of Pakistan's intent and objectives: the ISI and its terrorist proxies in India seek to recruit increasing numbers of Indians to carry out their dictates. To this end, they have created a network for id...

Sarah Palin Zardari affair : Holy shit

I've been using up a lot of my bandwidth on youtube and this post is also inspired by one of the youtube videos. Asif Ali Zardari managed to embarrass the whole of Pakistan by his flirting the vice presidential republican candidate , Sarah Palin.Hey whats wrong in appreciating a pretty girl. She a woman first and then a leader. If he acknowledged it, whats wrong. You might say he was flirting, and yes he was. Have you never flirted or is it that leaders should not flirt. Never mind but the Americans, Pakisatnis and people all over theworld have managed to make him a laughing stock. He deserves it, since its been just a few months since his wife was killed in the bomb and now the playboy from Pakistan is on the prowl. But Maulavis issuing fatwa in his name is stupid. Lets be free to express ourselves. If they are not ashamed of spreading terror in India, this is also nothing to be ashamed of. But this CNN video beautifully captured Sarah and Zardari, both on the sharp ends of the me...

Bomb blast at Marriott in Pakistan : Terror leaves nobody

Terror spares nobody, is what the blasts in Islamabad at the J W Marriott have shown to the world. It does not depend whether you are a Hindu or a Muslim, an Indian or a Pakistan national, till the time someone supports it, it’ll stay. It was India first, now it is Pakistan. There were a lot of Pakistani bloggers who said, “Long live Indian Mujahideen”, now at-least they know; there is no glory to it. It is only an agonizing pain, which will last for a last time. The bomb that has claimed lives of over 40 people till now is believed to have made a 20 feet crater. My commiserations to the families of all those who’ve lost a member and to those who’ve been injured by the explosion. The pain and agony is like that felt by king Lear in Shakespeare‘s play, when he is shown the door by his two daughters. Similar is the story of two nations, who are alike, still enemies, still fighting, lost causes, lost in the storm of ego, power and arrogance. There is a greater enemy, destroying both of us...

India deploys top fighter jets in Kashmir

India has deployed its top fighter jets in Kashmir, officials and a report said on Wednesday. At least six Russian-built Sukhoi-30MKI jets, capable of carrying nuclear weapons, have been deployed at Avantipura air force base near Srinagar. The Kashmir deployment comes amid strains in the India-Pakistan peace process, with New Delhi accusing Islamabad of renewed support for cross-border militancy and ceasefire violations along the Line of Control. The base is equipped with crash-prone MiG-21 jets, which India first imported in the 1960s. Finally India has retaliated. We have to be aggressive in our moves, else terrorists and countries with wrong motives will keep harming us. source : Times of India

Pakistan infiltrating terrorists

At least five Border Security Force (BSF) troopers were injured when a patrol party came under fire from across the Line of Control (LoC) in Saujian sector in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, BSF officials said. The firing from Pakistan Monday night violated the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan once again, officials pointed out. The BSF troopers returned fire. The area falls under army control, but BSF personnel assist the army in patrolling along the LoC - the de-facto border between India and Pakistan in Kashmir. On Tuesday, Pakistani troops opened fire once again to divert the attention of Indian security forces in Kana Chak sector of the border, allowing a group of infiltrators to cross into Jammu and Kashmir. BSF officials said a manhunt had been launched to nab the infiltrators who were headed towards Jammu. source: Hindustan Times Stay connected to Speak India and become an active Indian by subscribing to this blog.
