The man of the series, Ishant Sharma, the 20 year old delhi tallie, makes it even more symbolic. On one hand the Golden greats of Indian cricket are departing and on the other hand the new guns are making a mark. I wanted Gautam Gambhir to win the man of the series award, and had he played in the last test, he would have surely got the award.
This series was a touch unfavourable to the Aussies, in terms of luck. The Aussies only one the toss in the first match,the rest three were won by India. This gave them the disadvantage of batting on the last day. India barely managed to save themselves in the first test, though the comeback was truly phenomenal. Not it will be up to M S Dhoni and Co to take this team forward to a level above. As for Ricky Ponting, his arrogance let him and hos team down.
