Malaria hits mumbai, 4 die in 24 hours

Malaria has hit Mumbai hard in the last few days, with the death toll rising and adding another 4 in the span the last 24 hours. The water clogging has rains have given rise to water borne diseases in mumbai.
“This is because there is water stagnation at most construction sites there,” Dr. Thanekar, the chief executive health officer said.

In India when such a calamity strikes, then only the government authorities act. They keep sleeping rest of the time.

Over all death toll: 26
Malaria has taken 26 lives in the last 48 days since the first showers and the overall monsoon-related death toll to 54 since June.
